Real Entrepreneurs Invest Money Into Their Business

When I first came online and decided that I was going to be an entrepreneur, I had a lot of fears. Fear, of course, of the unkown.

One of the biggest “unknowns” in this industry is how much money is actually spent growing your business. There are advertising costs, and that is, for the most part, an expected expense. However, most people serverely underestimate the cost of continuing education.

No matter what kind of business you have, online or off, if you aren’t keeping up with the trends, and continually learning more and growing consistently, your business will stagnate and you will not flourish.

One of the things I choose to invest money into is attending live events. Ironically, I was at the Stratosphere Hotel in Las Vegas recently, and my teammate and mentor Mark Hoverson spoke specifcally on this topic, and I thought It was important to share. After all, he makes big bucks in this industry, and wouldn’t he be an expert on this subject?

Enjoy the clip, and leave me your feedback below. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Great explanation about drawing the line and putting things into the right
perspective to continue growing. Times do change and we have always
been a trending social community in a way.

    Thanks for sharing this Theresa.

I totally get that. That for me was a big challenge in getting my business going. That concept that Mark was talking about where there is the personal you and the entrepreneur you and they both do different things with their cash.
    Great post and great video.
    Thanks for sharing it.
  • Awesome post teresa. Thanks.

    Hi Theresa,

This is a great talk on separating your business life and personal life. It's hard when you work for yourself from home these boundaries can easily be blurred. Investing in courses such as personal development and business development really are the most important things when it comes to becoming successful. I suppose anyone can jump into network marketing, but it's the ones that invest in their business that are really successful.

  • Great post Theresa, while many out there are aware of advertising costs they don't take into account improving their education. With the Internet things are changing FAST, if you want to stay on top of your game then you better keep up.

The other day I saw a billboard ad go for 6K, I couldn't help but be left jaw dropped. For 6K in PPC or CPA you could triple your investment if you know what you're doing. Plus, with a billboard you can't track how many people actually saw it and took action unless they tell you that's why they called.

It's quite foolish to waste your money on that type of stuff when there are FAR more target ways to advertise.
  • It is true that we need to invest back into ourselves and our business to help to get it to grow.
Growing organically (pay as you go through your revenue) or through financing it is a question that a lot of people struggle with. Entrepreneur understanding of what is debt and what is investment is different that personal debt and investment. Thanks for sharing this Theresa.
    Make it a great day!
    God Bless,

  • Hi Theresa,

Some important things to think about, no doubt. Investing in your business because you must plant, then cultivate, then harvest. And like Duane said, segregating your different selves. I never thought about it like that, but it might help chase away those sleepless nights. :) Thanks for sharing.
  • Great video on segregating your entrepreneurial self from your personal life to keep balance and focus on goals. To seed your business is an awesome concept. Thanks Thersa.
